The script is ready for almost a year. It is a WWII story of three paratroopers from three different armies joined in a struggle of surviving after Market-Garden disaster.
The first thing I want to ask is an advice on finding a producer or experienced director to help me collect finances for it. My first thought was to participate in PISF programs but they require a promotor and a producer. I have my own company registered as filmmaking studio, and formally I can start with PISF program as producer, but I am way too unexperienced in the job to even think of doing it myself.
The costs are estimated for 0,5 - 1,5mln PLN, Film is to be recorded entirely digitally on 4K Red One cameras. I have many friends among WWII reenactors, and being a leader of US paratroopers group myself, I can dramatically cut the costs on costumes, vehicles, extras, props etc. My studio will provide all Visual CG FX and Art needed cutting the costs for pre and post production to a minimum.

After almost two months lot of things had happened. We made a lot of good contacts in the industry. We started to work on a final version of the script - it needed some deepnes and stronger characters to be an interesting feature. It is going quite well. We focused our current goal to participate in PISFs developement program as that will suit best for our early stage of the production - this way we will be able to get more financial help later.
I get a lot of information on technical issues, especially camera and postprocessing, and RED camera is still the best choice for us.
We have some introductory support from two minor filmmaking/postproduction studios and we hope for more of it from them soon.
I will keep you informed from now on about our progress.
