You don’t feel like waiting years for producers or television decision makers to accept your project? Or for someone to give you a grant? You don’t want to sit there, twiddling your thumbs, waiting for someone to discover your talent?

Then come and join us.

We want to make movies, having fun in the process, and not having to wait for anybody’s decision. We want to shoot films using modern solutions, and we want to do it cheaply. In our Virtual Film Studio we want to produce international films and work together to get them noticed.

At FilmSpringOpen you can present your achievements to date, show us what you are capable of and meet other people like yourself - people seeking contacts and opportunities to present themselves and their work to others. You will be able to talk to them, judge their achievements and establish new contacts. In our Virtual Film Studio you will find partners ready to work with you.

You will be making films together with them. At FilmSpringOpen you will write or iron your script, find your actors, discuss all production concerns, cinematographic, set design and financial issues. You will be conducting all these discussions behind closed doors, in your own password-protected Production Rooms.

Once the shoot is over, you can come back to FilmSpringOpen to edit your film off-line, discuss the various cuts with your colleagues and ask the other forum participants for advice.

Your finished film will have an audience straight away. Posted on our website, it will be discussed and evaluated. We will all be promoting it, also during our annual FilmSpring festival.

At FilmSpringOpen we also think about the future, bearing in mind that viewers nowadays don’t want to be just viewers - they want to be active participants in the creative process. We must not forget this when discussing the dramatic structure of films, also interactive films.
